Bizzy Mama is Bizzy this weekend

OMGoodness... trying to pack for the weekend...hockey Friday, Saturday and Sunday... but..because hockey is Friday.. I have to find a home for J...

I'm headed up to the city after work tomorrow... the hubby is coming Friday with J... but.. I have to pack for her.. cause who knows what dad will put in the suitcase.. I know for a fact my panties don't fit her... oh ya... I also got a dog.. that needs a home...

And.. with this rain.. I am guessing Soccer will be cancelled... tomorrow

Had a great 10K run last night (OK.. it was only 8.5km for me and 10km for my buddies) but.. I know I will have a tighter butt than them as clenching is good exercise for the buttocks...

Old Friends - Good Friends

I have a lot of friends that I don't keep in touch with (cause I'm not the greatest at keeping in touch.. being a full time working mom... and spending the day on the phone... sometimes deters me from picking up the phone at night.. my sister often complains about it too... ) but when I hear from old friends and it's like I never lost touch.. reassures the meaning of a good friend.... thus, I had a call from a girlfriend that roomed with me in College. It was so enjoyable to talk about old times and celebrate our achievements to date. L brought up some things I hadn't thought of in over 10 years... What a great call .. laughing... and more laughing (back then it seemed to be so stressful/complicated... trying to figure out how we could go to the bar.. while still pass the final exam the following day - I sometimes wish that was all I had to worry about now)

I am so glad that she got in touch with me and happy to rekindle the friendship...

Soccer - we have our first practice tonight... and well.. it's supposed to snow on Thurday.. so we better have some fun tonight... .

Back from Veg...

Dance is officially over... handed in my last costume after tonight's guest performance at Veg... Boys are off to the big city.. T has 3 games in 2 days.. he'll be pretty tired...

10K on the bike... burned the whole time... whined like a baby... gonna get out for a short run (5K tomorrow)

Now... I'm a proud mama!!!! great show, there was a ton of people and J did awesome!!!

Training update:

April 24th - great run... Crazy and I ran 7.5+Km in about 42+ minutes!!! we were able to run 3 sets of 10 with 3min walk breaks.. I haven't had a run that good in months!!!

Hoping to get out tomorrow!!! (April 26th)

The sun is shining... Kids are at School!!!

Should we get excited... not yet... we still have a foot of snow to walk through... (and it's hard!!! just ask the walking partner's)

Got my butt out of bed in a panic this morning.. thinking T had a field trip to the legislature building in Edmonton.. they were required to be at the school early..and... then... found out in the midst of kayos... that the trip had been cancelled... and that my daughter is not the best a giving me messages.....

Off to dance dress rehearsal tonight!!! only 3 more days of dance!!! (do I sound excited) it has been a long year.. probably because I am the treasurer (they think cause I work in a bank... that I should naturally have the job.. cause at the general meeting when they were looking for a treasurer.. they all looked at me... I need to get some balls.. and say NO once and a while)

The weather doesn't look to pro missing to get soccer underway!!!! hopefully next week things will start drying UP!!!

P.S. No news from the sis!!! maybe she's been too busy to read my blog!!! WHAT... 3 kids and busy?? can't imagine!!! maybe... she didn't realize it was ONLY 40 days!!! Love ya SIS

40 days til my big sis turns 40....

Now.. for sure I will know if she's reading my BLOG!!!! she thinks I'm too busy to think of things like this....but... I have a lot of down time between piano, soccer, hockey, swim club, working full time!!!! .. but don't any one worry... she's still a 10!!!

What is up with this.. a snow day in April... no buses... 2 girls at work.. not so good...

I stressed and yelling at everyone.. is it the weather or the busy week I got!!!!! I don't care if there is 15 feet of snow.. I'm going for a walk!!!

Lazy day after ladies-night-out

Had a great time with a bunch of gal's last night at our annual Ladies night out... good innocent fun... added by good friend and good wine... Things were so good, I played my guitar.. not once but 5 times... oh my goodness... today... I have a sore head and a sore leg.... (not as young as I once was)

I also got to see T's first hockey game with his new team...it was fun.. great hockey.. and a ton of new mom's to meet... Can't wait til our first tourney...

And... now.. today... shoveling snow.. what the H%$&.. isn't is supposed to be April showers.. brings May flowers??? if there is any flowers.. they are buried below a foot of snow... The roads were so bad the boys stayed home from hockey practice... you know it's bad.. if Wilson stays home...

Got a busy week ahead of us.. J has dance 3 times in preparation for her recital.. then her group has a guest performance in another town (about 40 min away on Saturday) I have 2 work meetings.. Wilson has another course and T has 3 games and 1 practice of Sat and Sun...

Winter !!! Winter !!! Winter !!!!

OK.. I am tired of shoveling my sidewalk... I think I shovelled it 10 times yesterday!!! Darn winter!!! when will it be over???

It's hard to keep up...

Not much happening with the gang.. signed J up for soccer and talked Dad into coaching... I said I would help, but I hope he's not to "drill Sargent" type. Ordered a new book off amazon tonight...Elephant's Like Water... supposed to be fabulous!!! will let you know..
The tendinitis is getting better..started laser and ultra-sound (the new cure) was able to run last night.. and will have a bigger run tomorrow... Got my butt out of bead this am to bike about 10Km....

Bragn' bout the kids

Well what a weekend... J got a gold... in her dance competition.. it however, ran very late and we didn't get back home until after midnight... but.. we were asked by another 2 dance clubs to appear as guest dancers... so what I thought "dance was almost over" it is fair to say.. we are just at the peak!!!!

T-did excellent at hockey... he's not home yet, but what I've heard.. he did great.. fit's in well with the team.. and not to mention he's one of the biggest players "Thank goodness he's tall like his dad!!!"

Back to School.... hopefully we can ALL make 5 days.. with no illnesses...

Today was absolutley beautiful... the sun was shinning.. got out for a bike ride.. the mud is drying up... NOW.. to end a perfect weekend.. I'm gonna sit down.. with a beer and watch "Desperate Housewives" so if you call just leave a message.. cause I won't be answering the phone!!!!

Back From Early Morning Therapy

I started walking in the mornings again...6:30am is early buy it's absolutely beautiful at that time. Today there was not a stitch of wind, and a few birds were out. Hopefully this walking will help with the tendinitis. Also Friday's are my weigh-in days.. so hopefully it's paid off.

Today is Friday... WeeeeHaa!!!... J is headed back to the College for another dance competition. Cuzin J will be there, but unfortunately none of our times match up. Her daughter is in a few dances, but all different from J's.

We have to go again tomorrow... but it looks like Sunday is ours ... with the boyz headed to the City for hockey... So it's ME, J and the Remote Control............

Stayed at home.. and did nothing

J was up all night last night.. sick... bad flu bug, she couldn't keep anything down.. not even water... so we have a very bad night.. stayed home with her today and spent the day on the couch with her recovering from the NO sleep...

Boyz are at a hockey pool tonight... male bonding.. shouldn't be allowed... I am going to head out for a walk.. and see how the tendinitis is.

Winter hockey is officially over

Had a potluck with all minor hockey families.. and boy was it good..my girlfriend Chanelle would have loved it!!!! But now that winter hockey is over that means spring hockey is about to begin... I'm a bit more excited cause I will be making frequent trips to the City.. which me more shopping... (the best therapy available)

J did excellent again this weekend... another silver.....

Had to chuckle going back to the OLD College facility.... I showed J my graduation picture... and... then she kept calling her friends over to say, "come check out my mom and her "phro".... I tried to explain to her that everyone from the 80's had bid hair... she thought it was pretty funny....

Showed her cuz V's picture... and well... big hair again....

The Ground is White

Woke up this morning to see the ground all white... I am so ready for it to be spring.. I know the snow won't last.. but I would like for it to be nice...

Got home late from dance competition - and J got a silver medal.. the group did excellent, I was disappointed with the Silver.. because they definitely should have gotten a gold (I thought).. J - of course was happy and proud.. (that's all that matters) ... we head back today for round 2 of the competitions and the boys are left home to play....

Almost Friday

Still crazy at work.... the busy season is upon us... went to the doctor today to find out I had tendinitis in my foot.. did not know that was possible. The symptoms showed up over night.. apparently it is from the repetition of walking and running... (I knew this getting in shape is not all as good as they say...) I however, was feeling very sad.. I can't miss any running days... I am in the worst shape of everyone I know and have a hard time keeping up as it is...but after speaking to one of the running gals, it will be OK..(I will just feed them more wine and pizza) ... so they don't get too far ahead of me.... we are planning to do some biking as X-training...

The boys are outside shooting hoops!!! best birthday present ever!!! a portable basketball hoop... thanks for all the birthday money.... (Dad may even get in shape.. and shed a few)

Not as deligent as Cougar Mama

Maybe the Rollies aren't quite as exciting as cougar mama's family...because.. I don't seem to be quite as deligent when it comes to updating the blog....

Tonight... I however, hung out on the couch... watching the Oilers... a year ago you wouldn't catch me watching any hockey on TV.. now.. I don't miss a televised Oiler's game...what's that telling you...

Work has been absolutely stressfull... today my tummy was a rumbling.. thought it was stress... apparently it's the flu.. it did however get me out of our run tonight...

J-had her last chance.. dance practice before the big competition this weekend... Not looking forward to doing her hair and makeup 2 days in a row (she competes..Friday and Saturday)
